Director's Message

With the rapid advancement of medical technologies such as new drug development, emerging therapies, and artificial intelligence, the challenges facing pharmaceutical regulatory science continue to increase. The speed of technological evolution often exceeds the pace of adjustment of existing systems, making how to establish an appropriate and forward-looking regulatory framework based on science has become an important topic in contemporary regulatory science. Regulations are not only tools for management and compliance, but also key institutional design to support innovative development and protect public health.

Based on this background, this program emphasizes that regulatory science is not only about cultivating students' ability to understand and apply current laws and regulations, but also about guiding students to think deeply about the scientific basis, institutional spirit, and policy context behind the development of regulations. Only by understanding the fundamental logic of the formation of regulations can we put forward appropriate new regulatory thinking in the face of the rapidly changing technological environment, or clearly construct and communicate scientific evidence to support decision-making in industrial practice.

I sincerely invite students who are passionate about pharmaceutical innovation, public policy, and regulatory science to join the study of this program. Under the guidance of interdisciplinary faculty and diverse practical scenarios, students learn and grow together with peers from different backgrounds, cultivate professional abilities that can respond to technological advancements, participate in regulations and practical decision-making, and contribute to the sound development of new drug research and development and innovative medical technology, as well as the protection of national health.
