Application eligibility

1.          Applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in Article 2 of the National Taiwan University Regulations Governing Students Taking Double Majors.

2.          The GPA for both the previous semester and the previous academic year must be at least 3.3.

Methods / Weighting

Admission Method:

The Degree Program Admissions Committee will review applications based on the applicant’s overall academic performance, taking into consideration grades in relevant major subjects. Admission quotas may remain unfilled.

Weighting:

Overall Academic Performance: 100%

Note

1.  The combined quota for double majors and program transfers into this degree program is limited to 15 students.

2.  Applications must be submitted online. Applicants who fail to register online by the deadline specified in the University calendar will not be permitted to apply process under any circumstances.

Application eligibility

1.      Applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in Article 3 of the University’s Regulations Governing Change of Major for Undergraduate Students.

2.      Completion of at least 2 credits in General Chemistry with a grade of 3.0 or above.

3.       Completion of at least 2 credits in General Biology with a grade of 3.0 or above.

Methods / Weighting

Admission Method:

Admission will be based on the evaluation score, with offered to the most qualified candidates; admission quotas may remain unfilled. Applicants will not be admitted if they fail the evaluation, have incomplete grades at the time of application, or later fail to meet the eligibility requirements. In the event of a tie, priority will be determined in the following order: General Chemistry grade, General Biology grade, and the evaluation score.

Weighting:

General Chemistry: 30%

General Biology: 30%

Evaluation: 40%

Other

1.      Evaluation materials include: completeacademic transcripts from the current department, personal statement (including reasons for applying for this program ), and any other documents that may strengthen the application.

2.      Applicants may also provide proof of competition achievements or English proficiency (e.g., official TOEFL/IELTS/GEPT score reports, or documentation meeting the University’s criteria for English course exemption).

Note

1.    The combined quota for double majors and program transfers in this degree program is limited to 15 students.

2.    Admission quotas may remain unfilled if applicants do not meet the admission criteria.

3.    Applicants must upload their evaluation materials in PDF format through the Program Transfer / Minor / Double Major Application System and ensure all uploaded documents are correct. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
