NTU Pharmacy is committed to cultivating outstanding pharmacy professionals, advancing innovative research, serving society, and shaping the future of pharmacy. Since its establishment in 1953, the School has pursued excellence in education and research while playing a pivotal role in advancing pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare in Taiwan.
Over the past seven decades, NTU Pharmacy has continuously evolved in response to changes in healthcare and biomedical innovation. The establishment of graduate programs in pharmaceutical sciences and clinical pharmacy, the creation of the Drug Research Center, and the implementation of the six-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program reflect our commitment to integrating education, research, and clinical practice. Through close collaboration with National Taiwan University Hospital, we have developed a strong foundation for clinical pharmacy education and the training of future healthcare leaders.
Today, pharmacy has expanded beyond traditional medication management to become an interdisciplinary field integrating pharmaceutical sciences, clinical medicine, biotechnology, regulatory science, and healthcare innovation. To address emerging global challenges, NTU Pharmacy continues to develop interdisciplinary programs in areas including biopharmaceutical development, clinical care, regulatory science, and healthcare management. These efforts aim to cultivate the next generation of professionals equipped to lead innovation in medicine and healthcare.
Although our size is modest, NTU Pharmacy has achieved global recognition through the excellence of our faculty, students, research environment, and strong partnerships across academia, healthcare, and industry. Our graduates have made significant contributions worldwide in clinical practice, biomedical research, pharmaceutical industries, government, and international organizations, advancing human health and pharmaceutical innovation.
One of our greatest strengths is our enduring community. Generations of alumni, supported by organizations including the Ching-Kang Pharmacy Foundation and alumni associations worldwide, continue to contribute to education, research, student development, and international engagement. This strong sense of connection and shared commitment remains a cornerstone of NTU Pharmacy.
Looking ahead, NTU Pharmacy will continue to embrace interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen global partnerships, and advance innovative education and research. Our vision is to become a leading school of pharmacy in Asia and a globally recognized center of excellence, cultivating pharmacy leaders who combine scientific excellence, humanistic values, and a commitment to improving health and society.
